Becoming Motherful | 26 Weeks Skincare

I contemplated whether or not to write a post about maternity skin, since mine is far from desirable, but I've done so much googling on every topic imaginable this pregnancy that I figured some mama out there may be able to take at least a little piece of advice from this. Right from the get go of pregnancy my skin started to get unruly so I sort of became product obsessed and started trying a bunch of new things. Here are some of my favorites that stuck around and although I would love to take credit, my friend Amy who used to work for Clinique saved me with some of these recommendations. Hopefully you'll find some of them helpful as well!!

Kate Somerville EradiKate | This stuff is definitely a step up from that over the counter spot treatment you used in high school, but beware it goes on pink so hopefully you are comfortable with your significant other. It's definitely worth it in my opinion. This stuff calms irritable spots overnight and heals the skin quickly and in a much nicer way.

Kate Somerville D-Scar | The only thing worse than breaking out during pregnancy is the hyperpigmentation that lingers around afterwards. Even if I don't pick at my skin there will still be a mark left after a spot is gone. This stuff is great for speeding up the healing process of the skin.

Origins Checks and Balances Face Wash | A friend recommended this wash recently and I've loved it so much that I'm not planning on making a switch anytime soon. It's gentle on the skin, yet tough when it needs to be. Perfect for those of us blessed with combination skin.

Josie Maran Pure Argan Oil Light | Don't be frightened to put oil on your face if you have oily skin. I've been using this stuff every night and I love how lightweight it is. Argan oil actually reduces sebum production so it's great for break-out prone or sensitive skin.

Bare Minerals Matte Original Foundation | After about a year of using BB cream I switched back to the first foundation I ever owned. With my skin being all over the place these days and the humidity of summer I couldn't be happier with how lightweight and easy this original foundation is.

Nars Illuminator | Because sometimes you just need to fake the pregnancy "glow".

These are just a few of my favorites. Feel free to leave suggestions if there are any products you are loving or that worked well during your pregnancy. I would love to hear! xo
